The NWSL’s November 6–8 quarterfinal weekend is a good time to start watching: every match sends one club home, and the four U.S. broadcasts are spread across different services. The useful preparation is to pick your matches and check access before kickoff—not assume one subscription covers the whole bracket.

The league also lists ESPN Deportes and the ESPN app for unlimited subscribers for Sunday. These are U.S. assignments; international NWSL+ availability should not be treated as a substitute for domestic rights. NWSL quarterfinal announcement.
Friday timing needs a final check: the league’s November 2 announcement gives 8 p.m. ET, while San Diego’s November 1 recap and club viewing page give 7 p.m. PT, equivalent to 10 p.m. ET. Those primary sources conflict as checked November 5. Use the current Prime Video event listing and club match information before planning around either time. One result settles each tie
The 2026 competition rules make the playoffs single elimination. If a match is level after 90 minutes, both 15-minute extra-time periods are played in full; a shootout follows if needed. There is no away leg to recover an aggregate deficit. Higher seeds ordinarily host quarterfinals and semifinals, with a venue-availability exception. NWSL 2026 Competition Rules & Regulations, page 1.

The bracket has two fixed halves: Gotham–Seattle feeds into Kansas City–Angel City, while San Diego–Utah feeds into Washington–Portland. A lower seed winning does not trigger a new ranking of the surviving clubs. The published bracket determines the next opponent. That makes the other match on your team’s half directly relevant to your weekend viewing.
How I would choose a viewing window
For a West Coast viewer, Saturday’s broadcast begins in the morning and Sunday offers two consecutive windows. If you can only watch one live, decide which half of the bracket interests you and plan to catch the other result afterward. On Sunday, an early kickoff does not guarantee an early finish: extra time and penalties can extend a match beyond the normal regulation window.
That changes a practical viewing decision more than a list of predicted winners would. Leave space in your schedule if you want to see a knockout match resolved. Check that the app or television service you intend to use actually includes the listed channel or event; a network name by itself is not a promise of free access.
Watch the game state as well as the score
A team protecting a one-goal lead late in a single match faces a different decision from one preserving an aggregate advantage with another leg ahead. Look at whether the trailing team commits another player forward, and what space that creates behind it. These are observation prompts, not predictions about any club’s tactical plan.
